Context:

The school environment knows an effervescence in the image of what is happening in the country. Several events resulted in altercations, conflicts, verbal and physical violence. The respective mis-understandings and the lack of communication between the young people had as consequences and several times a rise of violence turning toward extremism

Description​ ​of​ ​the​ ​project :

As part of this call for projects, the associations ADD and Tigar convinced of the importance and urgency of a preventive action against the scourage of violence and extrmism in schools, propose a project entitled : « For an inclusive and non-violent, nor extremism school environment ».

This project is articulated around 3 main axes :

The first axis of intervention concern : the diagnosis of the major factors of violence in schools (ADD only because this diagnosis was already made in kasserine by CIES) .

The second axis of intervention : Organization of a cultural activities cycle against school violence.

The third line of intervention consists in building the capacities of the various stakeholders (collegiens, parents, teachers….) in terme of conflict management and citizen mobilization mediation, communication … and the establishment of sustainable cells to ensure the sustainability of the action such as a club inside the middile school. a unit of listening, orientation and observatory to develop their potential for influence.

Goal:

Violence in schools leading to the violent extremism is mitigated by an innovative multi-stakeholder approch, where students are the actors of action and the leaders of positive change.

Objectives :

1-A culture of citizenship and conflict management is established through the opening of dialogue channels between stakeholders to understand the concerns of college students.

2-Offering innovative solutions and paths are collectively identified in a lean way through the establishment of a space for expression and exchange.

Activities related to the achievement of objectives :

Ensure an understanding and analysis of the major factors of violence in the target institutions.

Stengthen the capacities of the various stakeholders to establish such culture and be a promoter of peace and social cohesion.

Conduct sensitization actions in different forms: posters, flash mob, cultural activities such as theater plays, that will be implemented by middle school students in partnership with the various stakeholders.

-Implement sustainable cells to ensure the sustainability of the action such as a club within the college, a listening , orientation and observatory cells.

Results  aimed :

R 1 : Teenagers use the skills learned to improuve their influences in preventing violence generally and against the violent extremism specifically .

R 2 : Public structures and OSCs come together to discuss and develop a common approch to preventing violence generally and against the violent extremism specifically.
